Throughout history, American politicians, Presidents, and think tanks have often criticized African leaders and politicians, calling them out as crooks and criminals who are incapable of governing themselves. They claim that Africa is a hotbed of corruption, and they have no qualms about openly expressing their disdain for the leaders chosen by African countries.
While there may be some truth to these accusations, it is crucial to recognize that many African leaders are working hard to improve their countries and provide a better future for their citizens. It is also worth noting that the United States has produced leaders with questionable character, politics, and backgrounds, similar to the African leaders they criticize.
Despite facing possible civil and criminal convictions, Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, popularly Known for calling Africa "Shit hole place" is still a polarizing figure who commands a significant following. He has been accused of various ethical violations, including payments, abuse of power, and obstruction of justice. Nevertheless, he may still have a chance of winning the US 2024 election, which underscores that even in countries with robust democratic systems, leaders with questionable backgrounds can still gain power.
